2024 Acura Integra Type S Horsepower, Specs, Price

2024 Acura Integra Type S Horsepower, Specs, Price – Before the Los Angeles Auto Show next week, Acura has shown off a prototype of the 2024 Integra. You’ll recognize the new hot hatch if you’re familiar with Honda Civics because it will be based on one. Acura’s chief branding officer Jon Ikeda didn’t divulge much information during the unveiling. Still, we now know more about the new car’s design.

Integras of old were significantly influenced by the 11th generation Honda Civic, and the new 2024 model will be no different. Considering the new eleventh-generation Civic, the current Civic Type R’s mind-boggling performance, and the upcoming Civic Si, this is good.

Shortly, a 2024 Integra Type S is likely to use elements from the Civic Type R. With a six-speed manual gearbox; we know what to expect from the Integra. We hope it feels close enough to the Si that manual transmission lovers may rejoice and use the rev-match option.

That includes the 1.5-liter turbocharged I-4, but it also leaves room for an improved version of the K20C1 turbocharged K20C1 to be installed in the Type S or a Type R somewhere in the future.

Acura promises a six-speed manual transmission with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine to give the new Integra the performance it deserves as a worthy successor to earlier predecessors. Shortly, automatic transmission with paddle shifters is expected, but it hasn’t been confirmed. The new Integra will be a front-wheel-drive vehicle, just like its predecessors.. They, on the other hand, will be produced at Honda’s Ohio plant in Marysville.

When the Integra was first announced, we all had one burning question: How many doors would it have? Remember that the Integra was offered in two- and four-door configurations for a significant portion of its life. Jon Ikeda, the Acura Brand Officer, told us “maybe” when we inquired if the next Integra would have either layout (or both).

It has already been confirmed that the 2024 Acura Integra will be a five-door liftback, like the third generation DB6 Integra, when it launches in 2024. Additionally, the prototype has shown that the B-pillar will be blacked out, akin to the 11th generation Honda Civic, unlike the adored third version. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Horsepower

The ILX compact sedan is based on the ninth generation of the Civic, which means it should last a little longer. The ILX, on the other hand, can’t last as long as the 11th-generation Honda Civic. According to Ikeda, Integra is not a substitute for the ILX, who stressed it would be the brand’s entry-level vehicle. The Integra might become the de facto ILX replacement when the ILX is finally phased out after the 2022 model year. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Horsepower

We doubt the Integra will be offered with a two-door model in the absence of a tease. Even more significant is the lack of a two-door Honda Integra in the Chinese market and the absence of any form of two-door 11th generation Honda Civic. Only the FE four-door and FL liftback chassis codes for the 11th generation Civic are available. The internet sleuths on the forums and our searching haven’t uncovered a code for a two-door.

Although sporty two-doors are becoming increasingly rare, the Integra is best remembered for its golden days when known as a coupe. Thus we decided to depict it as such in this piece. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Horsepower

It’s a shame that Acura doesn’t have a natural halo to show off its sporty-near-luxury aspirations with the departure of the NSX. The MDX, especially the all-wheel-drive models, has proven to be a massive success for the manufacturer. However, despite rumors of an ILX Type S, the compact sedan does not have the same cache as the NSX. Instead, Ikeda informed us that Integra would fill this role. Yes, the entry-level Acura vehicle will take the NSX’s place in the lineup. Despite its name, it’ll have to live up to the sporting promise of its moniker to do this.

We don’t expect an electric version of the Integra at launch, but we can expect it in the future. Exactly how the Integra will be electrified is still up in the air. Using an electric motor at the back of the vehicle in a hybrid all-wheel-drive system is also reported for the upcoming 11th-generation Civic Type R. Despite the lack of an AWD Integra in the US market, there is precedent for the concept. However, the third-generation Integra was not offered with AWD in Japan. It was also not classified as a hybrid there. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Horsepower

Fortunately, we won’t have to speculate about it any longer. The 2024 Acura Integra will have its world debut on November 11th, 2024, in Los Angeles. We’ll be on the ground to obtain the latest information on this intriguing new Acura sports sedan. 2024 Acura Integra Type S Horsepower
